Chief Warrant Officer Three (CW3) Cassandra Green:

CW3 Green was born in Altheimer, Arkansas. She graduated Salutatorian from Altheimer-Sherril High School in 1988. After high school, she attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, and a minor concertation in Sociology in 1994.

CW3 Green began her military career in August 1995 by enlisting into the 39th Infantry Brigade, Arkansas Army National Guard as a Private First Class. In March 1996, she attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and continued Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. CW3 Green decided to make a career in the Arkansas Army National Guard. In 1998, the Company Personnel Sergeant Active Guard Reserve (AGR) position was available; she applied for and was hired with the rank of Sergeant at Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 39th Infantry Brigade.

CW3 Green went on to serve in a variety of assignments during her enlisted career. She served as Personnel Admin Specialist, Training Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) and Senior Personnel Sergeant while assigned to the 39th Infantry Brigade. Later she transferred to Joint Force Headquarters, Camp Robinson, North Little Rock, Arkansas as the Senior Personnel Sergeant.

CW3 Green was commissioned as Warrant Officer One (WO1) on September 18, 2009, and reassigned to the 39th Infantry Brigade as the Military Personnel Technician. CW3 Green was the First African American Female Warrant Officer in the history of the 39th Infantry Brigade. She served in that capacity from 2009 to 2014. In July 2014, she was reassigned to Joint Force Headquarters at Camp Robinson, North Little Rock as the State Equal Employment Manager. CW3 Green was the first African American Female Warrant Officer assigned as the State Equal Employment Manager for the Arkansas Army National Guard.

Her professional military training includes the Personnel Administrative Specialist Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course Phase I and Phase II, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course Phase I and Phase II, Human Resource Warrant Officer Basic Course, and the Human Resource Warrant Officer Advance Course.

CW3 Green’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal W/ Bronze Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3rd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal (2nd Award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal W/ M Device, Arkansas Service Ribbon (4th Award), Arkansas Emergency Service Ribbon (4th Award) and Arkansas Emergency Service Medal.

She retired on June 27, 2018, with over 22 years of distinguished military service. Currently, CW3 Green is employed as a Contractor for Joint Technology Solutions and serves as the Training Development and Support Technologist at the National Guard Professional Education Center, Camp Robinson. CW3 Green is a member of Saint Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock. She is a Pulaski County Master Gardener, and she volunteers with community projects for the Ralph Bunche Neighborhood Association. She is also a member of Alpha Rho Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
